Booking must be done at least 3 days in advance to process permits from Fisheries Department, Marine Police, Coast Guard, and Port Management.

No, landing on Barren Island is not permitted for safety reasons. The island is an active volcano, and access is restricted. However, you can get very close by boat to observe the volcanic activity and stunning landscape.

Barren Island is located approximately 135 kilometers northeast of Port Blair. The journey by boat takes about 4-5 hours each way, depending on sea conditions. The total expedition duration is typically 8-10 hours.

We recommend bringing sun protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen), a camera, comfortable clothing, motion sickness medication if needed, and any personal items. We provide all fishing equipment, meals, and refreshments.

While we welcome participants of all ages, please consider that this is a long day trip involving several hours on open water. We recommend the trip for those in good physical condition. Children should be accompanied by adults, and we advise consulting with us about suitability for senior citizens based on their fitness level.

Your safety is our priority. If weather conditions are unfavorable, we will cancel the trip and offer you the option to reschedule or receive a full refund. We monitor weather forecasts closely and will inform you as early as possible if changes are needed.

Due to the remote location and strong currents around Barren Island, snorkeling and diving are generally not part of our standard itinerary. However, under ideal conditions and with advanced notice, we may be able to arrange limited snorkeling opportunities. Please inquire when booking.
